Details

A challenging five mile race in the heart of the beautiful North Wessex Downs, starting in the village of Hurstbourne Tarrant and following part of the Test Way through woods and farmland. The course is completely off-road, taking in farmland, woodland tracks and a couple of "undulations". The event has been held annually since 2009, attracting fun runners, club athletes and local villagers alike.

The ninth running of this challenging off-road race in the heart of the beautiful North Wessex Downs, starting in the village of Hurstbourne Tarrant and following part of the Test Way through woods and farmland.

​Entries open to all standards and all ages from 15 upwards. Whether you are vying for the First Villager trophy or just hoping to make it up Hurstbourne Hill without stopping, there is a challenge for eveyone. Prizes for first three males and females, plus first M40, M50 M60,W35,W45, W55. Trophies for King & Queen of the hill and First Villager.

2K fun run for children too. Open to all ages, but children under 6 must be ccompanied by an adult. Enter on the day. Starts 11.05am.

​The now legendary homemade cakes and bacon butties will be available.

The event is organised and run entirely by volunteers.

All proceeds are donated to Andover Young Carers and Hurstbourne Tarrant Community Centre.

Plans are well underway for the 2017 Hurstbourne 5, to be held on Saturday 29th April at 11am. As ever, the race cannot happen without the kind support of lots of volunteers. We therefore just wanted to make sure the date was in your diary. If you are already able to commit to helping out again this year, please click on links below. Since its inception in 2008 and first race in 2009, the Hurstbourne 5 has raised over £16000 for local charities. Proceeds from this year's race will go to Andover Young Carers and The Hurstbourne Tarrant Community Centre.
